Unique stained glass windows are located over each entrance, including the Papal coat of arms and the seal of the state of SC. The nave contains 14 large two-light windows representing the Life of Christ from His Nativity to His Ascension. Above the high altar is a five-light window copied from Leonardo DaVinci’s Last Supper. A rose window above it depicts the Baptism of Jesus by St. John the Baptist. The lower church includes a crypt where Bishop John England and four other Charleston bishops are buried. The site has a history dating back to 1821, with the current cathedral built on the foundation of the 1854 structure.

The staff includes Rector Very Rev. Gregory B. Wilson, V.G., Parochial Vicar Rev. Daniel Perry, Deacon Thomas Baranoski, and Deacon Charles Olimpio.
