Noble Nostalgia Comics – Sell or Consign – Appointment Only

Noble Nostalgia Comics - Sell or Consign - Appointment Only is a collectibles store in Simpsonville, SC, located at 10017 Pelham Rd Suite 1. The business specializes in helping collectors sell or consign their comic book collections, offering two primary options: a direct lump-sum cash purchase or a consignment program where the owner retains ownership while the business markets the books. Under the leadership of owner Nik Franks, who has been buying and selling comics for over 20 years, the shop has facilitated the transactions of hundreds of thousands of comics. Franks is recognized for handling some of the most valuable comics in the world and dealing with large-scale collections, leveraging a network of dealers and collectors that has generated several million dollars in sales. The store maintains a 4.70 rating based on 123 reviews, reflecting its strong local reputation and established track record.

Franks’ expertise stems from a lifelong passion that began at age five with sports cards and shifted to comic books at age 11. He used buying, selling, and trading comics to pay for school during college and grad school, spending the last twenty years becoming an expert in vintage comics. This background allows the business to provide general appraisals where experts evaluate a collection to determine its overall value. The process involves discussing and agreeing on the best option for the client, whether that is a direct sale or consignment, followed by finalizing the transaction and providing quick, secure payment. The business emphasizes putting people before comic books, aiming to reduce the stress often associated with selling, particularly for those with little experience or those wary of platforms like eBay.

The shop operates by appointment only, with office hours from 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday. In addition to in-person evaluations at their Pelham Road location, they offer the convenience of traveling to a client’s location for assessments. The consignment service allows sellers to retain ownership of their comics while the business showcases them to interested buyers, potentially yielding higher earnings than a direct sale. The business prides itself on maintaining 100% positive feedback after more than twenty years and thousands of transactions, a testament to its commitment to smooth and rewarding experiences for both buyers and sellers.
