Golden Hills Golf & Country Club is a golf course in Lexington, SC, located at 100 Scotland Dr. The facility spans over 300 acres from the frontage of Hwy 378 to the banks of Twelve Mile Creek, featuring rolling topography, towering pines and oaks, and rippling lakes and streams. The 18-hole championship course was designed by noted golf architect Ron Garl and features TifEagle Bermuda grass on all greens with clearly marked yardages. Originally part of a plantation purchased by Christopher Caughman in the early 1800s and later known as Golden Glow Dairy Farm, the property opened as a residential community and golf club in 1988. The club offers practice facilities including a driving range for members, a lighted putting green, a chipping area, and a practice bunker open to the public. Additional amenities include four lighted tennis courts, an outdoor Junior Olympic competition pool, and a children’s wading pool. The clubhouse houses banquet facilities, the Scottish tavern, a golf shop, locker rooms, and the Golfers Grill. The owners and staff have adopted the former dairy farm’s slogan, “as good as the best and better than the rest.” The course has been voted one of the Top 5 Courses in the SC’s Midlands, named One Of The Top Played Courses with an 8 out of 10 rating by the SC Golf Guide, and voted “Best Golf Course” for consecutive years by readers of The State Newspaper and Lexington Life Magazine. The club holds a 4.10 rating based on 79 reviews and maintains a steady record of repeat and referred customers. Golden Hills Golf & Country Club combines championship golf with extensive recreational amenities for the Lexington community.
