Empire Gymnastics Training Center

Empire Gymnastics Training Center is a gymnastics center in Lexington, SC. The facility offers recreational gymnastics classes grouped by age, from a parent-participation class for walkers through age 3, to classes for ages 3-5, ages 5-9 and 10 and up, and ages 5-18. Separate boys gymnastics classes cover vault, floor, high bar, parallel bars, mushroom, and rings, with trampolines and foam pits used to build core strength and soften falls. Additional programs include a ninja warrior class built on strength and obstacle training, and a tumbling class for cheerleaders, dancers, and gymnasts preparing for try-outs. Empire also fields competitive teams on two tracks: the Xcel Program, sanctioned by USA Gymnastics with Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire levels, and the USAG Developmental Program, spanning compulsory Levels 2-5 and optional Levels 6-10. Athletes move between tracks according to skill progress, maturity, flexibility, and coachability. The center holds a rating of 4.70 from 128 reviews.

The gym publishes its own rules for participants: gymnasts wear a one-piece leotard that does not show the midriff or low back, boys and tumblers may wear shorts with a fitted tee shirt, and skirts, zippers, buttons, snaps, and ties are not allowed. Hair must be secured out of the face, and socks and sneakers are not permitted in the gym area. A ProShop in the front lobby sells new and used leotards.

Empire Gymnastics Training Center sits on South Lake Court, about a third of a mile from South Lake Drive. Red Bank Elementary School and Red Bank Park are each roughly six tenths of a mile away, and the Lexington County DSS office is about half a mile from the gym.

The center is known for a strong local reputation reflected in consistently high customer ratings, and for an established track record built on a large base of customer reviews.
