Trinity Montessori School

Trinity Montessori School is a school in Charleston, SC, serving children from 18 months through sixth grade in the West Ashley area. The school follows a Classical Montessori approach and weaves the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd into its faith-based program, guiding students along both an academic and spiritual path. Programs are organized by stage, beginning with early childhood classrooms for children 3 to 6 years of age (covering 3K, 4K, and Kindergarten) and continuing through the Elementary Academy for students 6 to 12 years old. Trinity Montessori places students in multi-age environments that favor collaboration over competition and uses hands-on Montessori materials rather than textbooks, with the goal of building critical thinking, problem solving, and independent thought. Students progress through student-directed projects and increasingly abstract work as they move into the upper elementary years, all while meeting SC state standards. The school's motto, "for the mind, for the spirit, and for peace," shapes a daily environment that families describe as a supportive home-away-from-home. Admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year are sent by email by March 1, 2026, with a tuition deposit equal to one monthly payment applied to the final month of the school year. The campus sits on Orange Grove Road, about 0.1 miles from Mary Utsey Park and roughly 0.4 miles from Orange Grove Elementary School. Sam Rittenberg Boulevard is 0.2 miles away and Old Towne Road is 0.3 miles away, placing the school within easy reach of the main West Ashley corridors. Trinity Montessori School admits students of any race, color, or national origin and does not discriminate in its programs or policies, a non-discrimination stance that aligns with the school's stated commitment to recognizing the singular character of every child.
