Loving & Learning Educational Center is a day care center in Charleston, SC. The center was established in 1979 on James Island by founder Joyce Daughtrey, who envisioned a place where parents could leave their children and trust they were receiving the very best care, and where children were members of a loving, caring family rather than simply children entering the center day to day. The center is family operated and located in the community where its staff live and raise their own children; its directors and many teachers have lived in the area all their lives, and some attended the center as toddlers themselves.
