Groth-Gates Heating & Sheet Metal

Groth-Gates Heating & Sheet Metal is an HVAC contractor in Newport, Oregon, serving the Central Oregon Coast from locations in Newport and Lincoln City. The family owned, licensed and insured company has worked along the coast since 1947, handling residential and commercial jobs, new construction and retrofit work. Its product range covers heat pumps, gas and electric furnaces, ductless units, and zoned systems, and its estimators help customers choose equipment for their homes. Ductless systems are a specialty, and the company also installs fireplaces, stoves, water heaters, and air filtration equipment. It holds a rating of 3.90.

Sheet metal fabrication sets the company apart. It runs fabrication shops in both Newport and Lincoln City, where the team designs, fabricates, and installs custom metal projects. The shops shear, brake, punch, weld, polish, finish, and modify sheet metal in stainless steel, copper, galvanized, and aluminum, producing flashing, chase tops, swing caps, backsplashes, countertops, and vent hoods.

Beyond heating and cooling, Groth-Gates offers indoor air quality products including the Air Scrubber Plus whole home filtration system, Trane CleanEffects, electronic air cleaners, and heat recovery ventilators, along with duct cleaning. The company also provides built-in central vacuum systems, whole home generators, remote access thermostats, home security products, in-floor heat, and geothermal options. Its technicians are NATE certified, and 24-hour emergency service is available. Yearly maintenance agreements carry a reduced price and an annual service reminder.

The Newport location sits on NW 12th St, about a tenth of a mile from Oregon Coast Highway and a short distance from the Newport Fire Department. Nye Beach and Nye Creek are roughly four tenths of a mile away, and Frank V. Wade Memorial Park is about half a mile from the shop.

Having served the Central Oregon Coast since 1947, Groth-Gates brings decades of heating, cooling, and custom sheet metal experience to homes and businesses in and around Newport.
