His brother-in-law, Wilbur C. Boice, came from New York as a partner and became one of the first licensed embalmers in Minnesota. Conley bought the business in 1942 and renamed it Conley Funeral Chapel; Darryl Wollin purchased it in 1965 and renamed it Conley-Wollin Funeral Chapel. Gene Michaelson purchased the business on January 1, 1979, changing the name to Michaelson Funeral Home and acquiring the West Concord Funeral Chapel. Cory Michaelson joined the firm on June 1, 1996, and purchased the funeral homes on October 1, 2006. The present facility at 1930 Austin Rd. was built in 1998 and occupied on November 1, 1998.
