Chad and his wife Jen purchased the property in April 2015, which includes an 1800s farmhouse, over 200 feet of water frontage, and a large 1890s barn. They began that same year by planting 300 grapevines and have continued adding vines each season since, growing the vineyard to over 1,500 grapevines of red and white varieties. The barn has been renovated into the tasting room and event space, retaining much of its original character. Inside, a built-in bar and farm-style tables were constructed on site from reclaimed wood salvaged from the barn itself, and the space can seat 125 guests. A spacious deck runs along the waterside of the barn, where guests can watch sunsets over the water, and the grounds provide room for outside ceremonies with views of the vineyards and pond. Beyond the winery, the couple has worked the land extensively - cleaning out a hilltop workshop, maintaining roughly 10 acres of lawn, producing maple syrup, extracting honey, learning to operate a tractor, and clearing and restoring the property. They also spend time on the water and trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and hiking across the property.
