King K9 Academy of Windham

King K9 Academy of Windham is a dog training business in Windham, ME, located at 73 Savage Rd. It holds a rating of 5.00 based on customer reviews. The academy offers board and train programs along with small-group dog training classes, serving clients from Portland to Waterville and beyond. The business is led by Joshua Antell, who has been training dogs professionally for over 20 years. He studied learning theory at Harvard and trained under world-champion protection dog trainers before founding King K9 Academy, which is marking its tenth year of operation. The academy operates on a 15-acre working farm in Richmond, Maine, that includes sheep, chickens, ducks, a training barn, a confidence course, fenced and unfenced terrain, and miles of woodland. Joshua personally trains every dog that comes through the program, working with a maximum of four dogs at a time. When dogs are ready, they go on field trips to towns, stores, and public spaces along the midcoast so the training carries into everyday environments. Small-group classes on the farm are capped at three dogs per class. The academy has built its reputation on a low-volume, high-attention model, and its five-star rating reflects the experience customers describe in their reviews.
