Acupressure Western MA of Amherst

Acupressure Western MA of Amherst is an acupuncturist practice in Amherst, MA, located at 131 Main St. The practice offers Integrative Acupressure, a hands-on method that uses finger pressure on specific points along the body's meridians rather than needles, with clients remaining fully clothed throughout treatment. Integrative Acupressure combines several disciplines, including acupressure, neuromuscular therapy, lymphatic massage, foot reflexology, cranio-sacral therapy, and hara shiatsu, and is used to address stress, anxiety, chronic pain, headaches, migraines, neuropathy, insomnia, fatigue, digestive issues, allergies, menstrual difficulties, and menopausal imbalances. The practice is led by David A. Rodrigues, who has maintained a private practice since 1992 and trained and taught at Sam McClelland's New England Institute for Integrative Acupressure in Haydenville, Massachusetts.

Sessions involve precise pressure points, gentle movements, and relaxation techniques intended to release blocked energy and foster long-term healing. Rodrigues works with clients through hands-on treatments, education, and personalized coaching, drawing on more than 30 years of practice to help the body access the information it needs to adjust toward health. He has collaborated with area chiropractors and treats clients in Hatfield. Long-term clients have reported relief from chronic pain, reduced stress, and improved focus and physical strength after ongoing sessions. The practice holds a rating of 5.00 based on customer reviews.

The office sits on Main Street, a short walk from the Amherst Police Department, Sweetser Park, and The Evergreens, with the Emily Dickinson Museum and Bangs Community Center also nearby. With a perfect rating and decades of experience in a discipline rooted in both traditional Chinese medicine and modern bodywork techniques, the practice serves Amherst and the surrounding Western Massachusetts region with a needle-free approach to whole-body health.
