QC Hardwood Flooring is family owned and operated by Cody Rhodes and his wife Katie. Cody has more than 15 years of experience installing, sanding and finishing hardwood flooring throughout the Midwest, and at age 29 he was recognized by the National Wood Flooring Association's 40 under 40 award. The company's sanding machines use attached dust containment systems, and the team prepares each space to limit disruption to daily life while keeping the home clean and safe during work. Floors can be kept natural or finished in any stain color; after sanding and staining, a protective seal coat is applied followed by two to three coatings. Finish upgrades include commercial finish, hardwax oil (Rubio Monocoat) and impact oil application (Loba), along with custom stain colors, fume and smoke reactive stains, dye, texture and wire brushing. For installations, wood deliveries arrive five to seven days ahead of the work so the material can acclimate to the home.

The business is located on 29th Street in Bettendorf, about a tenth of a mile from the Sunny Acres neighborhood and roughly two-tenths of a mile from Lawndale. State Street runs about two-tenths of a mile away, Grant Street about four-tenths of a mile, and Lincoln Park and Neil Armstrong Elementary each sit roughly four-tenths of a mile from the location.
