Hawaii Dance Bomb – Dance Studio and Silent Disco Events

Hawaii Dance Bomb - Dance Studio and Silent Disco Events is a dance studio in Honolulu, HI. It teaches Oahu Hawaii dance classes for kids and adults, including after-school hip hop programs at private schools across the island, and it brings dance parties and silent discos to schools, communities and special events. The studio holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.

Classes are built for people who want to know other dancers by name, move and dress however they like, and develop their own style on the floor rather than copying an instructor. The studio describes its approach as one where students learn technique without realizing how much they are learning, in a safe environment where people express themselves without judgment. Its kids' programs are designed to let children stay playful and creative, with no rules about what to wear, who to be or how to dance. Instructors practice wiggling, laughing, learning names and putting personal style into every dance.

Miranda grew up in Melbourne, Australia, began teaching dance in 2000 after studying full-time, and trained as a Groove Master Trainer after discovering Groove Dance in 2012. She moved to Honolulu in 2015 and founded Hawaii Dance Bomb to spread joy through dance, and has taught in schools across Oahu since 2016. The teaching team includes Gia, who trained in ballet, hip hop, contemporary, tap, ballroom and jazz and toured for two years with the Artists Simply Human dance convention; Alex, who grew up dancing hip hop in Los Angeles and was dance captain at her high school; and Emily, a recreational summer fun counselor and choreographer since 2023.

The studio sits on South King Street, steps from Waialae Avenue and about a tenth of a mile from Kalo Place Mini Park, the Moiliili Post Office and Kuhio Elementary School. The Lunalilo Freeway is roughly a tenth of a mile away.

Hawaii Dance Bomb pairs a 5.00 rating from its reviewers with a teaching philosophy that treats dance as self-expression rather than a test to pass, an approach it has carried into schools and studios throughout Honolulu.
