York Lock & Key is a locksmith in Miami Beach, FL, located at 1110 15th St. Founded in 1937, the company has served South Florida for over 85 years, providing 24/7 emergency support, rekeys, master key systems, and door hardware upgrades. It specializes in securing multifamily condos, rental communities, hotels, and commercial properties, with a focus on high-security hardware and controlled duplication. The company’s history dates back to the Art Deco era of Miami Beach, when it was established to provide security infrastructure for grand hotels and luxury estates. Originally based at 1562 Alton Road, the shop became known for bank and vault work, operating service vans throughout South Beach. Today, the firm designs custom master key hierarchies that compartmentalize access for hotels, condos, and commercial suites, utilizing restricted, patent-protected keyways to prevent unauthorized duplication. It installs Grade 1 hardware, including commercial-grade door closers, panic hardware, and electrified releases, engineered to withstand high traffic and extreme physical stress. For property managers and HOA boards, the business offers eCylinder control and high-security cylinders, such as Medeco, to pair with mechanical systems. Its process involves scheduling a meeting to identify risks and compliance needs, creating a scoped system plan with hardware specs and timelines, and implementing the solution with certified technicians who provide ongoing maintenance and support.

The location sits on 15th Street, about a quarter mile from Alton Road. It is near the South Beach Public Health Center and Miami Beach Urgent Care, both within a short drive, as well as the OHC Discover Your World school.
