The Carpet Tree

The Carpet Tree is a Flooring Contractor in Jacksonville, FL. Located at 4256 Blanding Blvd, the business serves residential and commercial property owners with a comprehensive selection of carpet, luxury vinyl, engineered hardwood, laminate, porcelain and ceramic tile, area rugs, stair runners, and window treatments. Founded in 1975 by Herb Mynatt, the company has operated for nearly five decades, expanding its offerings to include commercial flooring while maintaining a focus on personalized service. Beth Mynatt joined the business in 2002, and in 2023, Priscilla Screen and her brother Moises Reyna became the new stewards, continuing the family tradition of honest advice and full-service installation. The team manages the entire process from the initial showroom consultation to the final walkthrough, handling furniture moving and ensuring clear access for a smooth installation day.

The Carpet Tree operates a physical showroom on Blanding Blvd stocked with a full range of flooring options, allowing customers to compare styles, colors, and textures side by side without the limitations of mobile vans or online retailers. The service process begins with an in-home estimate where the team measures the space themselves to provide accurate pricing, eliminating the need for third-party measuring services. Once a product is selected, the professional installation team handles the project, which includes moving large furniture pieces to prepare the area for the new flooring. The business provides free in-home estimates as part of its full-service process, ensuring no guesswork or surprises on the final invoice. Over the years, the company has completed projects for thousands of homes, dozens of churches, military installations, and commercial spaces. Priscilla Screen brings business acumen and community roots to the role, while Moises, known as Moe, works alongside her to maintain the legacy of the business. The owners are active in the community, with past involvement in the Westside Business Leaders Association, the Clay County Chamber, Biz Net of Orange Park, and the Navy League Jacksonville Council.

The Carpet Tree combines nearly 50 years of Jacksonville expertise with a hands-on, full-service approach to flooring, making it a trusted choice for local homeowners and businesses seeking personalized guidance and professional installation.

The Carpet Tree sits on Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville, FL, just a short walk from Butcher Pen Creek and Acclaim Academy.
