The preschool is owned and operated by Nicki Meldrum, known as Ms. Nicki, who is a licensed home provider and Early Childhood Educator with over 12 years of experience. Her journey in education began at age 14 with student teaching, where she learned the basics of child development in social, developmental, physical, and emotional realms. She gained real-world experience teaching in an onsite laboratory preschool and interned with her own preschool teacher, the person who sparked her initial interest in the field. As an adult, she worked in classrooms teaching children ages 2 to 5 years old, honing her skills to create a successful and effective program. Moving her family to Windsor and finding their family home allowed her to turn her professional dream of opening her own preschool into reality. Teaching has been her lifelong passion, and Cozy Cubs Preschool is the result of that dedication.
