Kelly Peterson began his journey as a fence builder after finishing school at the University of Iowa and moving to Colorado. He worked as the lone employee under owner Robb at The Other Fence Company in Boulder, where he learned the value of focusing on one job at a time, providing quality craftsmanship, and giving extreme attention to detail. This philosophy forms the foundation of Fence Repair of Denver today. Peterson also gained experience in woodworking and metalworking, building furniture for residential and commercial clients, before returning to fence building with a heightened level of precision. The company operates as a small-scale operation, allowing the team to focus their full attention on each unique project and maintain clear, concise communication from start to finish.

The business addresses common issues such as failing gates, rotting posts, and storm damage. They repair dragging gates by adjusting hardware or replacing units, and stabilize fences by digging out damaged posts or adding sister posts. For sections damaged by Colorado storms or wear and tear, they replace individual parts to provide a cost-effective solution before a full replacement is necessary. The company uses cedar for posts and lumber, which can remain stable for over 20 years. They provide accurate quotes based on project descriptions and photos, and refer clients to other companies if a project falls outside their expertise.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting a reputation for honest, experienced, and transparent work. Clients highlight the skilled craftsmanship, prompt scheduling, and thorough cleanup that characterize the company’s service.
