Automatic Transmission Specialists

Automatic Transmission Specialists is a transmission shop in Waupun, Wisconsin. The shop handles transmission rebuilding, transmission maintenance and repairs, and differential rebuilding for both automatic and manual transmissions, and it works on domestic and foreign vehicles. Cars, trucks, vans, and RVs are all serviced. The team offers free road tests to check for harsh or soft shifting, late or early shifting, and slipping noises, and estimates are given over the phone before service is scheduled. The shop serves the Waupun area and southern Wisconsin. It holds a rating of 4.70 from customer reviews.

Work at the shop is done in-house by a team of fully trained technicians who specialize in transmissions. Rebuilds include any updates the transmission needs, and the shop is selective about the parts it uses. Maintenance covers external adjustments, transmission fluid replacement, filter cleaning, and related work. Customers describe the owner, Mike, as someone who explains what is happening with a vehicle and does not push unnecessary repairs; one review notes that a transmission thought to need a rebuild only required a band adjustment.

The shop sits on East Main Street in Waupun, about a tenth of a mile from Fond du Lac Street and Waupun Middle School. The Waupun Post Office and the Waupun Heritage Museum are each roughly two-tenths of a mile away, and North Watertown Street is a short distance beyond. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday closed.

Automatic Transmission Specialists has been providing transmission services for 40 years and has served southern Wisconsin for more than 25 of them. Its rating reflects positive feedback from the customers who have reviewed it, several of whom highlight the owner's straightforward approach to diagnosis and repair.
