Tactical Escape 101 – Rice Lake Escape Rooms

Tactical Escape 101 is an escape room business in Rice Lake, WI. The company provides private, immersive adventure games where groups of players navigate stories by discovering clues and solving puzzles within a set time limit. It holds a 4.90 rating based on customer reviews.

The escape rooms are primarily designed in a non-linear style, which allows multiple players and groups to engage with different elements of the adventure simultaneously. All games are booked by private reservation, meaning each group plays their adventure without strangers in the room. The business offers different themes and challenges, and most reservations include a dedicated game master. While the rooms are designed for adults, families with children can participate, though paid adult guidance is required for groups with members under 16. The minimum recommended age for players joining a group is 9+, and all players must be listed on the reservation regardless of age.

The business is locally owned and operated by Jennifer Fonfara and her family. The first Tactical Escape 101 location opened in Rice Lake on March 6, 2015. The organization has grown to include multiple locations across Wisconsin and Minnesota.
