Lake George Campsite Llc

Lake George Campsite LLC is a campground in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, in the heart of the northwoods. The property offers 35 spacious, level, partially shaded sites for RVs, travel trailers, and tents, set among virgin pines or on the wooded shores of Lake George. Every site includes electric and water hook-ups, a picnic table, and a fire ring, and the grounds also feature a dump station, a full bath house, and a fish cleaning area. The campground is pet friendly, with dogs allowed on leash, and is connected to the local ATV and UTV trail system, welcoming motorcycle, ATV, and UTV riders. On-site rentals include kayaks and paddle boats, and boat slips are available at the docks on a first-come, first-served basis for guests bringing their own watercraft. The campground hosts a full liquor and beer bar with a game room and candy area, which is open to the public during posted hours, and firewood is sold on site rather than brought in from outside.

The campground is run by hosts Jesse and Carmen Tank and is open seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day during the regular camping season, which runs from May through October, with a standard check-in time of 2pm. The site is a member of WACO, ARVC, the Tavern League of Wisconsin, the Pel-Cho Mudd Nutz club, and the Hodag ATV/UTV Club. Children have access to a larger play area in the upper camping section with a swing set, slide, climbing rope, playhouse, and sand toys, along with a smaller swing set and slide on the lower lake sites. There are no structured activities, but bicycles are welcome for touring the grounds and fishing is permitted off the docks.

The campground sits on Bassett Road, about four miles east of Rhinelander on County P, less than a mile from the shore of Lake George and roughly 0.8 miles from the Pelican River. US Highway 8 passes about 1.2 miles away, with Little George Creek and Long Lake both nearby.

The campground draws on a setting that places guests on the water of Lake George, within riding distance of regional ATV trails, and within a short drive of Rhinelander's Hodag Country Fest and other northwoods events.
