SpringBrook Assisted Living is a senior care community in Onalaska, Wisconsin, offering assisted living, memory care, and advanced care. The community is a stand-alone business, not connected to any other facilities, and is owned by local individuals committed to serving Onalaska, La Crosse, and the surrounding communities. It holds a rating of 3.20. SpringBrook's mission is to provide tenants and residents with quality care and a comfortable home in a community that is friendly, safe, clean, healthy, and fun. Residents live in private apartments and are welcome to come and go as they please, with services available to help them maintain independence in a safe and dignified manner. Residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings and style to their apartments. The community is located on the edge of natural wetlands, surrounded by beauty and wildlife. A local group of investors began construction on the original SpringBrook building in 2006, which included 64 individual assisted living apartments, a lounge, dining room, fitness center, activities room, theater and chapel, therapy pool, and salon. The first residents moved in during July 2007. In 2012, one section of the original building was modified to accommodate residents needing higher levels of care, including advanced age and memory care, allowing them to stay at SpringBrook instead of moving to a nursing home facility. In July 2015, SpringBrook opened a 36,100 square foot addition with studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments, bringing the total to 100 individual apartments, along with two dining spaces, an additional salon and spa, a second elevator, a family room, an education center, and office space. The community sits on Critter Ct, about 0.2 miles from the La Crosse Division of Motor Vehicles and the Gundersen Lutheran Onalaska Clinic, roughly half a mile from the La Crosse River, and about 0.7 miles from the La Crosse River Conservancy. The community serves homemade meals from a No Salt Added kitchen, with a daily special and an alternate menu at lunch and dinner. Residents have access to a theater and chapel with seating for movies, church services, and family gatherings.
