Natural Learning Solutions opened in 2018 as the first cognitive skill training studio in the Onalaska and La Crosse area. The center employs customized, one-on-one educational practices that focus on fixing learning struggles at their root cause rather than managing symptoms to maintain classroom cohesion. The process begins with a cognitive skills assessment using the Gibson test of cognitive skills, which reviews auditory processing, word attack, logic, reasoning, working memory, processing speed, visual processing, and long-term memory. A consultation then overviews the root cause of cognitive skill development and recommends a program suited to the client’s needs.

The studio utilizes specific programs to strengthen mental skills. The Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE) program is designed to build underlying mental skills vital to academic success, targeting attention, concentration, memory, processing speed, problem-solving, visual processing, phonetic awareness, and comprehension. The Master the Code (MTC) program is a "Sound-to-code" reading program modeled after the process by which spoken language is first learned, with students averaging over four years of reading skill improvement in less than five months. The team includes Brian Sullivan, who holds a degree in Psychology from National University in San Diego, CA, and Teri Gile, who has worked in education for over 30 years and holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Education Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it. This high satisfaction reflects the effectiveness of its brain training methods in helping clients improve weak cognitive skills for lasting results.
