Genesis Exteriors

Genesis Exteriors is a window installer in Madison, Wisconsin, serving homes and businesses throughout South Central Wisconsin. The company installs windows, doors, roofing, siding, and gutters, and has been doing so for over a decade. It holds a rating of 4.70 from the customers who have reviewed it.

Genesis Exteriors presents its proposals as fixed-price commitments rather than estimates, with a written breakdown of the recommended work, and materials specified by brand, material, and color. Every project includes a free design consultation. The company employs a fulltime Quality Control Supervisor, and at the end of a project the customer and that supervisor complete a 29-point checklist together. Photographs document existing conditions before work begins and any completed work that is not plainly visible afterward. Genesis Exteriors backs labor and installation with a free 10-year warranty alongside the manufacturer's warranty on materials. It is the sister company of Genesis Painting, Inc., a Dane County painting company founded more than 20 years ago.

The company installs products rated highly recommended by Consumer Reports, buys roofing materials from GAF Materials Corporation or Owens Corning, fits double the industry-standard amount of ice and water shielding, and hammers five nails per shingle. Siding options include fiber cement, plywood, vinyl, wood, and resin. Window lines include Marvin fiberglass and Grandura/Simonton and Ventura vinyl-clad windows. Crews remove and properly dispose of all discarded materials, and a fulltime customer service representative answers questions by phone Monday through Friday during business hours. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX, with short-term no-interest financing available.

The business sits on Femrite Drive, about a tenth of a mile from South Stoughton Road and the Madison-Dutch Mill bus station, and roughly two-tenths of a mile from Meriter Monona Clinic and the South Beltline Highway. The Robert the Gorilla public artwork and the Panther Effigy Mound historic site are also nearby.

Genesis Exteriors has won the Angie's List Super Service Award for six consecutive years, recognition built on a reputation for honesty, personal attention, excellent service, and quality materials. For Madison-area homeowners weighing window, door, roofing, and siding work, that record of repeat recognition is the clearest measure of how the company performs.
