Heid Music of Howard

Heid Music of Howard is a music school in Howard, WI, serving students and musicians across the Green Bay area and surrounding region. As part of the broader Heid Music operation, the Howard location carries forward a retail and education lineup that includes band and orchestra instruments, guitars, amplifiers, drums, acoustic and digital pianos, sheet music, accessories, and band and orchestral rentals, paired with an education center offering group and private lessons.

The business traces its roots to 1948, when musician and United States Army Band veteran Peter "Duke" Heid founded the company alongside partner Gerald "Buck" Jensen, another Army Band veteran. The original store opened in the 300 block of West College Avenue in Appleton, and in late 1957 the operation moved to 308 E. College Avenue in Appleton, where it has remained. From the mid-1970s onward, Heid Music expanded into a full-line music store covering instruments, rentals, repair service, and accessories for all instruments, alongside its education center. Today the company operates as a third-generation, family-owned business with locations in Appleton, Green Bay, Stevens Point, Oshkosh, and Madison, serving as a community music resource across Wisconsin and shipping throughout the continental United States.

The Howard location sits on S Oneida St and holds a rating of 4.90 from customers who have reviewed the business.
