Founded in 1984 by David and Lisa Moore, Moore Designs Inc has grown from a small framing carpentry crew into a leading custom home design-build firm in southeastern Wisconsin. David Moore, a master carpenter whose construction experience dates to 1979, serves as President and Construction Project Director and has overseen more than 600 new custom homes and remodeling projects in the Milwaukee metro area and surrounding region. Lisa Moore, Vice-President and Design Project Director, has been involved in home design and construction since the firm's founding and oversees the design side of the business. Their son Grant Moore is also part of the team, reflecting the family's continued hands-on involvement in every project. The firm designs and builds up to 20 custom luxury homes and upscale remodeling projects annually, with roughly 75 percent of projects built from in-house designs and the remaining 25 percent constructed from plans developed by outside architectural firms. The design process typically moves through four phases, from initial sketches through concepts and construction drawings to a complete set of finely detailed prints. Each project begins with the client's ideas and is shaped by an in-house design team working to blend the client's needs, desires, and personal style into a home that makes an innovative architectural statement, ranging from clean-lined contemporary residences to rustic-style homes. The firm performs both custom home construction and remodeling work directly, giving them direct knowledge of materials, products, methods, and practices. Their work has been recognized with honors for overall quality and interior design as well as a People's Choice Award for a Parade home in the MBA's Parade of Homes in 2003, the same year they opened their first luxury condominium development. The firm moved to its current office and studio in Germantown in 2015.

The office sits on Kleinmann Drive, about a third of a mile from Lannon Road, with Mequon Road roughly nine-tenths of a mile away. Schoen Laufen Park is approximately seven-tenths of a mile from the office, and Willow Creek runs nearby.

With four decades of continuous practice in southeastern Wisconsin and a perfect customer rating, Moore Designs Inc stands among the most established custom home design-build firms serving the Milwaukee metro area.
