Madison Music Foundry of Fitchburg

Madison Music Foundry of Fitchburg is a music school in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. It provides education, rehearsal space and recording resources for musicians of all abilities and ages, with 17 studios hosting band rehearsals, lessons, classes and education workshops such as Rock Workshop. The Foundry also owns and operates the professional recording studio Blast House Studios, where musicians, producers and engineers can work. More than 500 students study with 26 instructors. The business holds a rating of 5.00 from the customers who have reviewed it.

The facility was built in the fall of 2006 inside a stand-alone, 7,000 square foot warehouse. It was designed by a local musician together with KSW Construction and an acoustic and vibration consultant, with the floor plan, framing, drywall, HVAC, electrical, lighting and carpet all specified for rehearsal and recording use. Each studio sits on its own electrical circuit and has its own ventilation to control temperature and humidity. The building has a full security system, interior and exterior video surveillance, high speed fiber internet and wi-fi, and locks on every door, so equipment is stored in a climate controlled environment. Owner Mike Olson opened the Foundry in the fall of 2006 after years of playing in punk rock bands and organizing shows around the country. Brett Randall serves as Operations Director; he earned an Art Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison, plays bass and guitar in the Madison band Pale Young Gentlemen, and previously taught himself guitar by eighth grade.

The Foundry sits on Index Rd, about 0.2 miles from Fish Hatchery Road and 0.3 miles from West Beltline Highway. Pinnacle Park and Valley View Pond are each about 0.4 miles away.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 2pm to 11:00pm, Saturday 11am to 6:30pm, and Sunday 12pm to 6:30pm.

As a locally owned and community supported business, Madison Music Foundry of Fitchburg gives Fitchburg musicians a place to learn, rehearse and record, and its 5.00 rating reflects how its students and customers regard that work.
