Free estimates are offered, with no trip charges, no markup on materials, and two-year guarantees on electrical, plumbing, and tile work. Milwaukee Handyman holds a rating of 3.20 based on customer reviews.

The business was founded by JD Steinhafel, a lifelong Milwaukee resident and Southeastern Wisconsin business owner for over 20 years, who started the company to provide a complete handyman service built on expert work, transparent charges, and arriving on time. When JD retired, he turned the business over to John Zacher, one of his own crew, who continues to emphasize cleaning up after each job and handling small fixes while on site. The company's craftsmen cover every trade, so a single job that mixes plumbing and carpentry, such as a custom dishwasher installation, can be handled by one team. Ceramic tile work covers kitchen floors and bathroom showers, and the company will pick up tile for a job at no charge. Masonry work ranges from minor concrete repair to installing porches and concrete steps. Carpenters handle window and door installation, custom cabinetry, and countertops, and the company also takes on small projects, including drywall jobs of roughly 20 sheets.

Milwaukee Handyman is located on W Lisbon Ave in Brookfield, WI.
