Auto Art & Collision Repair, LLC

Auto Art & Collision Repair, LLC is a Body Shop in Yakima, WA, located at 1718 S 18th St. Mike and Irma Philp operate the shop, which provides vehicle collision repair services and handles the insurance claims process, working with all insurance companies to meet deadlines and return customers to their vehicles. The business accepts appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The repair process begins with an initial estimate written by experienced estimators or the insurance company, establishing a timeframe for repairs. Upon authorization, the shop negotiates terms with the insurance carrier and orders parts specific to the vehicle. The vehicle is disassembled and re-inspected for hidden damage, which requires a supplemental damage report documented and approved by both the customer and the insurance company. Structural and body repairs are performed first, using a frame machine to pull the vehicle back to factory measurements if required. New panels are added, and the body receives primer, sealer, and corrosion protection before moving to the paint department.

The painting process involves washing, chemical cleaning, prepping, priming, sealing, and masking to prevent over-spray. As a courtesy, the shop color sands and buffs the vehicle before reassembly, cleaning, and a final inspection. Customers are notified when the vehicle is ready for pickup. The business holds a rating of 4.40 based on customer reviews.
