Clearwater Valley Music

Clearwater Valley Music is a music school and instrument shop in Spokane Valley, Washington. It offers a variety of musical supplies, instrument sales, rentals, and repairs for brass and woodwinds, along with sheet music and books for teachers, students, and professional performers. Minor repairs and accessories for stringed instruments and percussion are also provided. The shop serves local musicians, school teachers, parents, and students, and holds a rating of 4.90 from the customers who have reviewed it.

Owner Edward Gavras has worked in retail and repairs for Clearwater Music for about 22 years, and he is a local musician, private music teacher, and has been in music ministry for over 10 years. Many Spokane Valley school teachers and parents had regularly asked for a Valley location, and the nearest competitors sit an inconvenient 20 to 30 minute drive east or west, with none to the north or south of Spokane Valley. His wife Monica keeps the books, and the couple's two boys are Andrew and Nicholas.

Repairs on wind instruments are done for all levels of musicians and instruments, and every repair is warranted for one year. Each lease and rental includes free routine maintenance, and in most cases all money paid goes toward purchase of the instrument, interest free. An affordable extended warranty is available, and the shop describes its policies as very flexible. Hours are 12 to 6 PM Monday through Friday and 10 AM to 4 PM Saturday, and appointments can be arranged outside those times.

The shop sits on North Pines Road, about a tenth of a mile from the road itself and roughly two tenths of a mile from East Sprague Avenue and the Opportunity neighborhood. The Spokane Valley Heritage Museum is about three tenths of a mile away, as is North Pines Middle School.

Clearwater Valley Music brings two decades of retail and repair experience to Spokane Valley, where the owner's background as a working musician and teacher shapes what the shop stocks and fixes.
