The business has been family owned by the Salmon family for generations and has offered auto repair in Seattle since 1951, with the company thanking customers for 70 years of business. It is locally owned and operated, and backs its work with a 100% service guarantee. Experienced technicians and a large selection of brand name auto parts support the repair work, and customer satisfaction is stated as the company's first goal. The three Seattle locations offer access to and from I-5.

The Northgate location sits on Northeast 125th Street at the corner of 15th Avenue Northeast. Saint Matthew School is about a tenth of a mile away, Pinehurst Playground about two tenths of a mile, and Little Fish Swim School roughly three tenths of a mile from the shop, in the Pinehurst neighborhood.

Salmon's Service Centers holds a rating of 4.60 from 159 reviews, a record built over decades of serving Seattle drivers. For a Seattle auto repair shop that has kept cars on the road since 1951, that long run and the following behind it are the clearest measure of the work.
