The store sells cooking appliances, dishwashers, refrigeration, and laundry equipment, and holds a rating of 4.80 from customer reviews.

Since 1978, Metropolitan Appliance has supplied and installed appliances in homes and businesses across the Pacific Northwest. The company runs its own in-house delivery and installation team rather than subcontracting to third parties, and its installation technicians are trained both by manufacturers and in house. Its appliance advice team has more than 150 years of combined experience across luxury, commercial, and residential appliances, and continually pursues manufacturer training. Flexible storage options let customers keep their product on site until a project is ready. Post-installation warranty care on purchases is handled by Sir Visser Appliance Repair. The showroom is arranged to simplify product selection, and the company maintains supply relationships with a range of appliance brands. Delivery is scheduled within two days, and the business is trusted in hundreds of homes, job sites, and businesses around Puget Sound.

The store sits on 1st Avenue South, a short walk from the public artworks honoring Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez, both about 0.2 miles away. South Holgate Street is roughly 0.1 miles off, South Atlantic Street and Colorado Avenue South each about 0.2 miles away.

Metropolitan Appliance is known for its positive customer rating, with reviewers describing strong service and installation. For Seattle homeowners and builders choosing cooking, refrigeration, laundry, and dishwasher appliances, it is a long-established local option with its own delivery and installation crew.
