Founded in 2007, it provides landscape design and installation for residential properties throughout the Seattle area, including Mercer Island, Burien, SeaTac, Tukwila, and Normandy Park. The company's services include landscape design and construction, lawn and garden renovations, and the installation of custom fencing, arbors, irrigation systems, patios, retaining walls, and other hardscapes. It holds a rating of 5.00 from the customers who have reviewed it. Ecoyards designs and installs natural landscapes intended to conserve water, support plant diversity, attract wildlife, and reduce maintenance. Its owner brings over 25 years of industry experience and holds several credentials: Landscape Industry Certified Manager, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Certified Backflow Assembly Tester, and US EPA WaterSense Partner. He completed the King County Master Gardener program in 2008. Ecoyards is also certified through the Techniseal Applicator Program for cleaning and sealing pavers, and is a member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals and the Irrigation Association. Hardscapes are a specialty. The company builds paver patios, walkways, and driveways, installing a compacted gravel base typically 4 inches deep for foot traffic and deeper for driveways, with a rigid edge restraint and a vibrating plate compactor finish. It also builds retaining walls from segmental block, natural stone, and wood, and installs custom cedar fencing using the cedar post-on-pipe method, in which each post is mounted on a steel pipe set in concrete below grade. Irrigation work covers automatic sprinkler and drip systems with smart controllers, plus seasonal maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades. Customers have given the company positive reviews on Google and the West Seattle Blog.
