Yellow Dot Windshield Repair of Orchards

Yellow Dot Windshield Repair of Orchards is an auto glass repair business in Orchards, Washington. The shop specializes in windshield chip and crack repair rather than full windshield replacement, and it handles bullseye, star, half-moon and combination chips as well as surface pits. Crack repair covers cracks in some cases up to 14 inches in length, with the aim of stopping a chip from spreading and restoring the strength of the glass. The business also installs a professional-grade rain repellent glass treatment that improves visibility through the windshield in harsh weather, and offers headlight restoration. Work is performed by the owner and technician, Steve Harmon, who has been doing this work for 22 years and who many drivers know as the windshield repair guy formerly at the Vancouver Mall. The shop serves Vancouver and Clark County and offers mobile service in addition to its drive-up service center. It holds a 5.00 rating from 194 Google reviews.

Yellow Dot began in April 2003, when its owner left 15 years of customer service work in the grocery and retail industries to start the business. For many years it operated out of the Vancouver Mall parking lot, where it became a familiar stop for drivers. In February 2018 it moved into a permanent indoor location in central Vancouver, which allows work to continue regardless of rain or daylight, shortens service times, and made room for the added offerings of headlight restoration and rain repellent treatments. Every repair is completed by the owner himself rather than by a chain employee, and he continues to research and test new tools, products and techniques.

The shop is located at 5601 E 18th St #304, on E 18th Street.

Customers repeatedly describe thorough repairs, same-day and last-minute appointments, work finished in under an hour, and fair pricing, and several note that it is the only place they have found that does rock chip repair exclusively rather than pushing a full replacement.
