City Dance Olympia opened in May 2016 and features one of the area's nicest dance floors, a ballet sprung surface designed to reduce fatigue and injury for students and instructors alike. Lessons are taught by experienced dance instructors, and the studio also draws on Nationally Competitive Youth and Adult Ballroom Dancers who are available to perform at special events. Weekly group classes cover Latin and Smooth Ballroom dances, East Coast Swing, and both beginning and intermediate Tango, with a focus on teaching skills that students can carry into real social settings.

The studio sits on Legion Way SE, near Plum Street Southeast and just south of Moxlie Creek. The YMCA is a short walk to the west, and several state offices cluster nearby, including the Department of Corrections and Washington's Lottery regional office, both about a quarter mile away.

With a perfect customer rating and a track record of instruction that has continued since 2016, City Dance Olympia has built a strong reputation as one of Olympia's dedicated dance studios.
