The company holds a rating of 4.70 based on customer reviews.

The business began in 1987 in Anacortes, Washington, when Greg Greenfield, who had grown up working in the equipment rental business his parents started, partnered with Jim Baker following Jim's Navy service. The two launched what was then a "Rent-A-Tent" operation, with inventory stored in an unheated garage, a desk in the corner, and an answering machine. Steady growth and long-term employees built the company into what it is today. Greg retired in July 2022 and sold Pacific Party Canopies to Michael McDaniel. Jim Baker retired in 2024 and sold his separate company, Stellar Events, into the business. The current team includes owner Mike McDaniel, General Manager Eddie Molish, Sales Manager Stacie Stogner, Lead Manager Jimmy Mai, Sales Associate Brianna Worrell, Installation Leads Griffen Dunlap, Bobby South, Leo Tenorio, Shawn Kinney, and Andrew Ackermann, Linen and Dish Supervisors Molly Moran and Viki Vasquez, Vinyl Supervisor Stan Drummer, Will Call Supervisor Mike Walker, and Maintenance Manager Rich Eppley. In addition to tent and structure rentals, Pacific Party Canopies offers tent washing, drying, and repair services, including stitch, heat weld, grommet, jumper ropes, curtain ropes, and tent ropes, performed in a controlled indoor environment with climate-controlled storage. The Burlington showroom is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The showroom sits at 455 Pease Rd, about 0.1 miles from Skagit Valley Early Learning Center, 0.3 miles from Walnut Pond, and roughly 0.6 miles from The UPS Store, George Hopper Road, and Burlington Plaza.

For nearly four decades, Pacific Party Canopies of Burlington has been the Skagit County source for tents, structures, and full-scale event equipment rentals.
