All wines are crafted from grapes grown on-site, and apples are selected from the vineyard’s own orchards and local Vermont producers. The business is family-owned and operated by Dennis and Amy Brown and their daughters, Jacinda and Sadie. The property has been in the Brown family for half a century, having been purchased in the 1950s from the Griffith family, who held the land since the late 1800s. Lenore and Dennis Brown Sr. farmed the land, using the barn to shelter dairy cows and later horses. The property passed to their son, Dennis Brown Jr. The family renovated a historic barn originally built in the late 1800s, which features original hand-hewed beams, wooden pegs, and much of its original slate roof. This barn has stood overlooking Lake St. Catherine for over 200 years. In the summer of 2017, daughter Sadie and Alan-Glen were married in the barn. Sadie’s artwork is featured in the tasting room, and she created the logo used on the wine labels.

Wine production, cellaring, and bottling take place on the estate in the remodeled barn. Tastings are held in a colonial farmhouse on the property. The rich soil and gentle rolling hills provide an ideal location for growing grapes.
