Green Mountain Trucking & Excavating Inc

Green Mountain Trucking & Excavating Inc is a trucking company based in Westford, Vermont, serving the Greater Burlington area and the broader region of Northern Vermont. Founded in 1972, the company provides trucking and hauling, excavation, and demolition services to both residential and commercial clients throughout Chittenden County and beyond. Their trucking work covers the transport of gravel, top soil, sand, stone, fill, and equipment, while their excavation offerings include lot clearing, driveways, cellar holes, foundation work, retaining walls, ponds, sewer and septic system installation, ditch cleaning, drainage, and site preparation. Demolition services span residential, commercial, farm, industrial, interior, concrete, road, driveway, and lot clearing projects. The business holds a rating of 4.60.

The company is family-owned and operated, founded by Edmund Hathaway, whose dedication to the trade shaped the business for decades. Today his son Tim Hathaway runs the operation with a hands-on approach, and Tim's son Shawn represents the third generation now learning the trade. This multigenerational structure is central to how Green Mountain Trucking & Excavating Inc operates, with each generation passing forward the standards set by the founders. The business is fully licensed and insured, and its fleet of well-maintained trucks is described as the backbone of the trucking and hauling side of the work, supporting projects of varying scale across Vermont, from the Burlington metro area to the more remote rural sections of the state.

The office sits on Osgood Hill Road. With more than fifty years of continuous operation under the same family, Green Mountain Trucking & Excavating Inc stands as one of the longest-running trucking and excavation outfits in the Burlington and Westford corridor.
