Founded on January 6, 2006, by owner Gabriel Goar, the company began after Goar spent seven days studying painting techniques from books and DVDs following his experience as a church maintenance worker. He sold his car to purchase business insurance and started operations with a truck and paint sprayer provided by church members. Since then, Showstopper Painting has grown to become the largest residential painting company in the Hampton Roads area. The team includes Daniel Jeter as Sales Consultant, Mathew Smith as Service Manager, Karen Smith and Kevin Pagano as Project Managers, and Ken Lane as Sales Consultant. The company offers a no-surprise guarantee, free estimates, daily communication, and free color consultations with a licensed designer. Crews cover and protect furniture and carpets and perform complete cleanup after each project. Work involves careful preparation, crisp edges, and smooth final coats to ensure durable finishes, particularly for exterior surfaces exposed to coastal moisture and sun.
