After Dr. Butcher retired in 2013 following 31 years of practice, Dr. Teresa Bracy took over the practice, which was renamed Indian River Veterinary Hospital to reflect a wider scope of services. The facility features an in-house laboratory, x-ray, and pharmacy. All staff members are certified through the Fear Free Initiative program to care for pets that experience anxiety or fear during travel and veterinary care. The team includes licensed vet tech Ashley, inventory manager Emily, and veterinary assistants Connor and Marybeth. The hospital also honors Max, a former resident house cat who served as a concierge and emotional support animal.

The hospital maintains a strong local reputation, reflected in consistently high customer ratings. It has an established track record built on a large base of customer reviews.

Indian River Veterinary Hospital combines decades of continuous local service with Fear Free certified care for Virginia Beach pet owners.
