Nova Pets Health Center of South Riding

Nova Pets Health Center of South Riding is an animal hospital in South Riding, Virginia, located on Avion Park Court. The practice provides full-service veterinary care and professional pet boarding under one roof, and has been independently owned and operated since 2001. Its services include same-day urgent and sick visits Monday through Saturday, in-house diagnostics, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dog CCL repair, and advanced dentistry such as advanced extractions and full-mouth feline procedures. Dr. Sayed Masood brings more than 25 years of clinical experience to the practice, and more than 1,000 CCL procedures have been performed there. Boarding is offered for dogs, cats, and exotic pets including birds, reptiles, and small mammals, along with medical boarding for pets needing medication management, post-surgical care, or chronic condition care. The practice holds a rating of 4.7 based on 134 or more reviews.

The boarding operation occupies a 5,000 square foot facility with a large outdoor play area. Dog boarding includes private suites, daily play, and a structured routine, with senior dogs welcome, while cat boarding uses cat-only suites in a quiet environment. The same team that provides medical care manages the boarding, so if a pet's condition changes during a stay, assessment begins immediately, and a licensed DVM is on-site. Most surgical cases are handled in-house rather than referred out, performed with full anesthesia and monitoring, and the practice states that it is not a franchise or corporate chain and does not rotate staff, with the same doctor and team caring for a pet over its lifetime.

The practice has earned a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting the relationships it has built with local pet owners over more than two decades of independent operation in Northern Virginia.
