The practice was founded by Dr. Tina Ansari, who serves as optometrist. Dr. Ansari earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and spent a year in research in the university's pathology department before earning her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of California - Berkeley. Her training focused on primary eye care, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease management, with externships at the Portland VA Medical Center, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and the Casa Grande VA Medical Center. After practicing in the western United States, she returned to her home state of Virginia to be closer to family and opened the practice, which began seeing patients in February after delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Care at the practice is built around proactive, preventative eye care that goes beyond 20/20 vision. Comprehensive exams assess eye focusing, eye teaming, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and pupil response, and include measurement of fluid pressure to check for glaucoma and evaluation of the retina and optic nerve. For patients new to contacts, the contact lens exam begins with a full eye health and vision assessment, followed by a discussion of lens preferences. Specialty contact lens exams address keratoconus, irregular corneas, and dry eye disease, with lens type and brand selected based on prescription, eye shape, eye health, and lifestyle. The practice is located on Estate Manor Drive.

The practice is known for the positive rating it has earned from the customers who have reviewed it.
