Misty Mountain Camp Resort

Misty Mountain Camp Resort is a hotel and campground in Greenwood, Virginia, set at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville. The resort spreads across 50 acres of private sites nestled in the trees, with accommodations that include cabins, RV sites, tent sites, camping plots, and a bunk house. Guests have access to a pool, a bounce pad, playgrounds, a fishing pond, a gem mining station, a fully stocked General Store, a recreational building with banquet seating for large groups, and an event space. Nature trails, a creek, volleyball, horseshoes, hayrides, and a pool table round out the activities. Complimentary coffee and donuts are served on Sunday mornings during the season, which runs March 11 through November 24, and live music is offered every weekend. The resort sits between Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountains, about half a mile off Highway 64, within reach of more than 25 vineyards, over 10 breweries, Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Monticello, Ashland Highlands, the University of Virginia, and Historic Downtown Charlottesville. Check-in is 1:00 PM for RVs and tents and 3:00 PM for cabins, with checkout at noon.

The property sits on Misty Mountain Road, with Stony Run and Yellow Mountain Creek both about a tenth of a mile away, Rockfish Gap Turnpike roughly half a mile off, and Yellow Mountain about a mile from the grounds. Whites Pond is about 1.4 miles away.
