The business holds a 5.00 rating based on 150+ Google Reviews. The board and train program is a two- to three-week immersive experience where dogs receive consistent, hands-on practice each day. Trainers customize programs for dogs of any breed, size, or age, from puppies to seniors. Services cover on and off-leash obedience, including sit, down, stay, heel, place, recall, and leash manners. The training also addresses household manners such as polite greetings, calm indoor behavior, and no barking, jumping, or counter-surfing. Kodiak K9 was founded by police K9 handlers Brad and Corey. Brad has served as a K9 handler in a large metropolitan police department since 2009 and is currently an active handler and head trainer. He has trained numerous K9 patrol and detection teams with multiple agencies in the DMV area. The business is named in honor of Brad’s first K9 partner, Kodiak, who served as a Fairfax County patrol and narcotics canine for ten years. Brad employs a balanced training philosophy with an emphasis on positive reinforcement and tailoring packages to the dog and family. His wife and kids are involved in the training to ensure each dog receives comprehensive care. The business maintains a 5.00 rating from customers who have reviewed its services. This high rating reflects the positive experiences of dog owners who have utilized the board and train programs. The combination of professional K9 handling expertise and family-integrated training environments supports the development of confident, well-mannered dogs.
