Discovery Kids Academy Of Greater Houston

Discovery Kids Academy Of Greater Houston is a daycare in Houston, TX. The center serves children in their first five years, a period it treats as one of tremendous growth across all aspects of development. Its stated aim is to partner with parents so that each child experiences healthy brain development and builds the social, emotional and cognitive skills needed for kindergarten. The academy holds a rating of 4.70 from the customers who have reviewed it.

Daily programming covers literacy and numeracy alongside music, art, yoga, science, technology, reading, Spanish classes and crafts, with activities designed to meet the differentiated needs of each student. The center keeps small class sizes and low staff to pupil ratios in a cozy, secure, familial environment, and monitors hand washing to help prevent the spread of colds and flu. It is licensed by the State of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services under license number 1553742. An open door policy is in place, and a free trial session is offered to all children.

Enrollment begins with a tour request, which is confirmed within 24 to 48 hours. Families then receive enrollment documents, meet with the center director to discuss their goals for their child, and set a start date. Completing enrollment involves submitting forms, uploading immunization records, and paying the registration fee and deposit.

The academy sits on Fannin Street, a short distance from Southmore Boulevard and San Jacinto Street. The Maurice Joseph Sullivan memorial and the Holcombe Drive public artwork are both nearby, and the Clayton House public library is roughly a tenth of a mile away.

Families across greater Houston looking for early childhood care with low pupil ratios and a broad activity schedule will find that combination at this Fannin Street center.
