Cody Landscape is owned and operated by Cody and Shelly Whelchel, a local family that takes a personal, hands-on approach to every property. Shelly holds a degree in horticulture and an artist’s eye, transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary retreats such as intimate courtyards and stunning pool areas. She regularly walks properties to assess growth, while her son, Cody Jr., serves on the management team to address client needs. The business began with Cody learning values of honest work and attention to detail from his grandfather, evolving from a small lawn service to a luxury landscaping provider.

The team includes certified maintenance crews, expert designers, and strategic leadership. Alan, a retired CPA and Texas A&M graduate with over 35 years of senior financial management experience, provides financial oversight. Paulina, a CAD design specialist with architectural expertise, creates detailed renderings to help clients visualize their spaces. As Landscape Manager, she ensures every project moves smoothly from concept to completion. Sandi assists in coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure project details are captured perfectly. The design process begins with a solo site visit by the lead designer to understand the property’s light and feel, followed by a collaborative meeting to discuss scope, budget, and style.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting a reputation for friendly, professional service and hard-working crews. Clients trust the team to protect their landscape investment with technical proficiency and extensive horticultural knowledge.

Cody Landscape combines deep local expertise with a family-owned approach to create carefree outdoor living spaces for Fort Worth homeowners.
