Riteway Trucking of Dallas

Riteway Trucking of Dallas is a trucking company in Dallas, Texas. It handles dry van, flatbed, step-deck, and specialty freight, along with refrigerated transport, and serves businesses that need freight moved across the nation. The company has been in business for over 50 years. It holds a rating of 4.60 from the customers who have reviewed it.

Riteway Trucking works with dry van freight services and a range of refrigerated transport solutions. Its specialty freight work covers oversize and overweight shipments, which generally require special permits and, depending on size, pilot cars or escorts to move legally on roadways. Permits are ordered from the Department of Transportation in each state or through a permit company before a driver loads such a shipment. The company notes that shipments over 8 feet 6 inches in width are considered over-dimensional, and that escorts are commonly required once a load exceeds 12 feet in width, with requirements varying by state. Drivers of oversize loads typically use red flags and amber lights, and pilot cars carry flags and lights as well, with markings required by the Department of Transportation of the state where the load travels.

The company tracks and reports on shipments in real time, offers shipping options for getting a load delivered, and has been rated as superior for maintenance of equipment. Its stated priorities are safety and reliability, customer service and satisfaction, and on-time delivery. It also provides information to customers on freight shipping topics such as shipping insurance, the difference between truckload, less than truckload, and intermodal freight, Net 30 payment terms, and transit times that vary by distance, mode, route, and season.
