Founded in 1993 by Johnny, who left a corporate plumbing company to start a family-owned and operated business, Johnny Rooter Plumbing is now a second-generation operation. The name originated from customers and coworkers who called Johnny “Johnny Rooter” for his ability to clear clogs and solve plumbing issues. The company serves many of the same customers Johnny worked with in the 1960s. They emphasize honesty, refusing to upsell unnecessary replacements and focusing on repairing parts when possible. Their approach includes leaving workspaces cleaner than they found them and providing clear explanations of issues and solutions.

The plumbing team uses advanced diagnostic technology to locate leaks, including acoustic listening devices, thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, and safe, odorless gas tracing for slab leaks. These non-invasive methods allow them to detect leaks within walls, floors, and concrete slabs without extensive demolition. They also use specialized sewer cameras to visually inspect lines for blockages caused by tree roots, grease, or debris. Services include routine maintenance inspections of pipes, fixtures, water pressure, and valves to prevent future issues.
