Berry Hill Animal Hospital

Berry Hill Animal Hospital is a veterinarian in Nashville, Tennessee, serving the city's pets and their owners since 1958. It is one of the few privately and locally owned veterinary hospitals in Nashville, with 38 years of experience between its doctors. The hospital provides all vaccinations, spay and neuter services, and a well-equipped surgical center. Wellness visits cover physical exams, diet discussions, and lifestyle reviews, while sick visits are available for both scheduled and walk-in appointments. Surgical services range from routine spay and neuter procedures to emergency surgery, with soft tissue procedures, intestinal surgeries, growth removals, and orthopedic surgery performed with a board certified veterinary surgeon. Dental care includes preventative cleanings, extractions, and dental x-rays. In-house ultrasonography and echocardiogram imaging are available, along with veterinary acupuncture and Class IV therapeutic laser therapy for pain management and mobility.

Dr. Erin Kirkpatrick purchased the practice in 2021 after seven years as an associate, and she completed training to provide acupuncture in 2020. She is a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian and offers in-home visits, including in-home euthanasia, for pets who are anxious in a clinical setting or have mobility limitations. Dr. Amanda Gansberger has been with Berry Hill since 2004. Dr. Amanda McElyea joined in 2021, and Dr. Ashley Miller joined after graduating from Michigan State's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.

The hospital sits on 8th Avenue South, about a tenth of a mile from Wedgewood Avenue and a short distance from Interstate 65. Reservoir Park is roughly three tenths of a mile away, as is the public artwork Life Can Be Sweet, and the Wedgewood Houston Makers + Growers Market is about four tenths of a mile from the hospital.
