He worked in excavation and land development before moving to a glass company, where he advanced from a delivery driver to handling fabrication, delivery, and complex installation tasks. Owens also served in law enforcement for about six years while continuing construction and remodeling on the side. After an initial attempt to launch a construction business failed due to the recession and housing market collapse, he returned to law enforcement for a little over three years. He left the force permanently in 2015 to start TruCon Construction, which has grown continuously since.

The company’s expert installers bring over 25 years of experience to every project. They handle a wide range of bathroom updates, including walk-in showers, tile showers, free-standing tubs, vanities, and more. Their services also extend to drywall repair, trim work, painting, and electrical installation for new houses. The team manages debris removal as part of the renovation process. Customers have praised the staff for being professional, prompt, and creative, with some noting that the company provided competitive pricing and timely completion of multi-room projects.
