The thrift shop is part of a broader mission focused on women’s discipleship, recovery, and whole community healing. Royal Path Ministries is opening the upstairs of the thrift shop to serve as a community space for Bible studies, worship nights, support groups, and recovery events. The organization is also developing an inpatient recovery program for women, aiming to prepare them for roles as mothers, wives, and leaders through long-term faith-based treatment, life and job skills training, one-on-one discipleship, and assistance with employment. The program includes family counseling, family nights, and kids weekends to support mothers and their children.

The ministry was founded by Audrey Surber and Brittney Paulk, both of whom share personal histories of addiction and recovery. Surber, the director, found freedom through a faith-based program after years of struggle, and has been clean for over ten years. Paulk, also a director, found sobriety after a period of addiction that affected her marriage and custody of her children; she has been sober for over two years. The directors emphasize that their work is driven by the love and redemption they found through Jesus Christ, and they seek to share that healing with other women facing similar challenges.
